    FAQ

Want to know if an Overseas Exchange is right for you?
Have a look through some of the most commonly asked questions:

I don't want to go for a whole semester. Is there a shorter option?

Yes, we offer a limited number of short-term Exchange programs too. These run over the summer/winter breaks at a select number of our partner universities. Study areas and destinations are much more limited for short-term exchange, so chat to our team to learn more.
We also offer Study Tours and Overseas Internship programs that run during the summer and winter breaks- these programs range from 2 - 8 weeks duration.

I'm ready and excited- can I apply now?
You'll first need to learn what's required to apply- attend or watch our information session, or visit our website to read through the steps on how to apply. You can also connect with our team via exchange@swin.edu.au for any help and questions with your application. We can't wait to help you start planning your adventure!

I'm pretty set on a partner university. How likely is it that I'll get into that partner?
We always try our best to get students into their first preference partner university. Availability will vary depending on a few factors- one of those reasons is that some partners are in high demand with only limited places available. We ask that you choose three possible partners during your online application and know that you'll have an incredible time no matter where in the world you are!

I want to know more before I apply. How can I do this?
There are a few ways to learn more about our Exchange programs:

    - Sign up for or watch an online information session
    - If there are no information sessions currently running, or if you just want a more personalised enquiry, contact our team and chat with us directly. You can email exchange@swin.edu.au or visit us in the Swinburne Abroad office in Level 2, BA Building (Atrium) on campus.
